Kris,
When I often share scripture like that with my husband I too get the same response. In fact sometimes he'll stop me before I even go there. He'll say something like this to me, "Don't even quote scripture at me or I'll lose it!" I'm not trying to be trite or cliche, but I know there have been times in my life that people have reminded me of scripture & I know it, but have simply forgotten it. I personally need that reminder.

Hi PK,

Thanks for the information. I know I've been told that there is no "right" way to pray and that it can be done anywhere, anytime.

I have been feeling somewhat guilty because I'm not comfortable praying aloud with others nearby and I although I pray regularly and quite a bit, I like to do it when I have enough time to devote to it. I'm not comfortable in a situation similar to Tuesday night prayer group or even this week's prayer week from 7-8 at FUMC because I feel like I must stay the whole time period (even though Sonja said come for as little or as long as you like). I know it's all me but I appreciate your saying it yet again that it's okay to pray at home.

God's Blessings to you and your family. Happy New Year!!
